Puppy Training
Puppy socialization and training to get your pup on the right foot (or shall we say, paw)!
Dogs are part of your family, and that means we want to be able to bring them on camping trips, to farmer’s market hauls, and to dog-friendly coffee shops and restaurants in West Seattle. Our goal is to create environments and activities to help your dog thrive, at home, and out on the town!
If you’re a first-time puppy owner and feel overwhelmed by how much there is to do to help your puppy grow up to be a happy, healthy, polite member of your family, you’re in the right place and we’re here to help every step of the way.
Puppy Play Hour
Have you recently gotten a puppy that’s bouncing off the walls with energy? Are you looking for a way to get your pup some socialization? Give your pup a chance to burn some energy and learn good play behavior by attending our Puppy Play Hour!
What is Puppy Play?
Puppy Play is a great chance for your puppy to get some much needed socialization with other puppies their age in a sanitary, safe, supportive environment. Our specialized handlers will watch over your puppy and use positive reinforcement training to help them learn good manners while they play with their buddies. Open to dogs up to 6 months old.

SHY PUPPY PLAY CLASS (You will learn skills to help your shy puppy acclimate to the play environment while they mingle with shy friends)

Requirements
Paw Partner profile, recent fecal exam (within 30 days), proof of first round DHPP vaccination, and a confirmed reservation, which can be requested through your Paw Partner profile.

Teen Socialization Classes
Has your puppy aged out of puppy play but still has lots of playful energy? Our teen socials are the perfect place for your dog to practice the play skills they learned in puppy play. If your teen is new to us we will set up a trial day to make sure they fit in with the group. We also have a separate small breed group for teen dogs under 40 lbs.

Requirements
Paw Partner profile, recent fecal exam, up to date vaccination records, and a confirmed reservation, which can be requested through your Paw Partner profile. Trial days can be arranged for teens who are new to West Seattle Wonder Dogs after completion of background questionnaire.

Wonder Puppy Class
Early puppyhood is a critical time for socialization and learning. Puppy class is the single most important thing you can do to help your puppy reach their full potential!
What is Wonder Puppy Class?
During this course, you and your puppy will learn an array of topics including: positive reinforcement training, reading canine body language, preventing/managing undesired puppy behaviors, confidence building, and relationship building between you and your pup.
Schedule
Wonder Puppy is a 5 session class currently offered Saturday and Sunday mornings 10:00 am – 11:00 am and Wednesday evenings 6:30 pm – 7:30pm.
Requirements
Paw Partner profile, recent fecal exam (within 30 days), up to date vaccination records, under 20 weeks old at the start of class and a confirmed reservation, which can be requested through your Paw Partner profile.
*We require a deposit when you book your reservation. The deposit alone does not guarantee a spot in class. Only a confirmed reservation with all above criteria met guarantees a spot in class. If we cancel your reservation we will refund your deposit. If you cancel your reservation your deposit will be refunded according to our cancelation policy.

$280 (5 sessions, 1 class per week)
Puppy Day Camp
Puppy Boot Camp? Advanced Placement Kindergarten? Whatever you want to call it, your puppy will never want to leave. Each day your pup will received individualized training from our Wonder Puppy and Levels Curriculum, supervised socialization with their best buds, and positive exposure to all kinds of things they’re likely to encounter in the “real” world. Take advantage of this crucial developmental period where your pup is a sponge for all things “good” and “bad” and build a solid foundation for a well mannered, confident adult dog. You will also receive a detailed report of your puppy’s progress at the end of each camp session!

Day Camp for Teens
We help your teen build on play skills learned as a puppy in small groups (maximum 6 pups). This camp is supervised by our Certified Trainers and your teen dog will have opportunities to play with other teens as well as participate in a fifteen minute training session to learn skills from our Levels Curriculum, which include sit/down/stand, recall, hand target, leash walking for non-reactive dogs, body handling, anti-jumping games, go to place and so much more! You will receive a detailed report of your dog’s progress at the end of each camp session.
Requirements
We require one of the following: History of puppy play at West Seattle Wonder Dogs; History of teen play at West Seattle Wonder Dogs; Trial period consisting of an intake form, trial play session at one of our one-hour teen socialization classes, and a trial day at camp. During the trial day you will need to be available for early pick up, in case your dog is having a difficult time at camp.
